"Raman spectrometer" and "Infrared spectrometer" are common instruments in material analysis and testing. The two instruments have some different factors in the functions and usage methods. We can learn the difference between these two instruments from the following table.

Sample Preparation Sample preparation is not very important, Raman Spectrometer can accept almost all the states. More complicated in sample preparation, and the gaseous sample is rare.
Results Result of covalent character in the molecule. Result of the ionic character in the molecule.
